Music Therapy for High Needs Special Education Students in multiple Dexter Community Schools

WWII historical fiction book sets for students to read in book clubs/partnerships while exploring the historical fiction genre during reading workshop. The books will enable students to make connections to the genre’s mentor texts while also deepening their knowledge of WWII.

DIA virtual tour participation cost for all 6th-grade students to explore artifacts from ancient civilizations.

A large-scale laminator to be used primarily by the GraphX Class and taught to Graphic Arts I and II, as a production tool that all of the District will have access to for their laminated needs.

The aquariums/terrariums plus supplies will be used by five courses at Dexter High School to explore the behaviors of various organisms and environments.

A portable tabletop band saw for MakerSpace and Science department STEM projects. The band saw will allow students and teachers to cut wood, metal, and 3-D-printed plastics in multiple ways.

We are asking for funds to acquire a class set of dumbbells, a dumbbell rack, and 3 moveable benches. Over the next few years, we plan to transform the Mill Creek fitness room into an area better suited for equipping our students and athletes to become more confident and knowledgeable in the fitness environment.

This grant will provide School Bowling Kits for Wylie Elementary. With the 6 kits, it will allow ALL students that go through Wylie Elementary to participate in our bowling unit.
